Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect

Ventus Dynamics collects information you provide when using our thermal analysis calculator:

  • Building data: property type, dimensions, construction details, and location (city or region). This data is stored locally in your browser and is not uploaded to our servers for storage.
  • Payment information: if you purchase a paid service (Full Report, Guided Call, or On-Site Visit), payment is processed securely by Paddle. We do not receive or store your credit card details.
  • Contact information: if you book a Guided Call or On-Site Visit, we collect your name and phone number to schedule the service.

2. How We Use Your Data

  • To perform heat loss and heat gain calculations using our calculation engine (EN 12831 and ASHRAE standards).
  • To process payments through Paddle when purchasing paid services.
  • To generate PDF reports and shareable report links.
  • To contact you regarding Guided Call or On-Site Visit bookings.

We do not sell, share, or use your building data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose other than performing the calculations you request.

3. Data Storage

Your data stays in your browser. All building data, room configurations, and calculation results are stored in your browser's local storage. We do not have a server-side database that stores your calculations or personal information.

  • Browser storage: your building profile, defaults, rooms, and results are saved in your browser using localStorage. This data never leaves your device except temporarily during calculation processing.
  • Calculation processing: when you run a calculation, your building data is sent to our calculation server, processed in memory, and the results are returned. We do not store your data on the server after the calculation is complete.
  • Payment access tokens: when you purchase a paid service, an access token is stored in your browser to verify your purchase. The same token is held in server memory to validate access.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

  • Paddle: payment processing. Paddle handles all payment data in compliance with PCI-DSS standards. See Paddle's Privacy Policy.
  • Vercel: application hosting. Our website is hosted on Vercel's infrastructure. See Vercel's Privacy Policy.
  • Render: calculation engine hosting. When you run a calculation, your building data is processed on Render's infrastructure and is not stored after processing. See Render's Privacy Policy.
  • Sentry: error monitoring. Sentry receives error reports and performance data to help us identify and fix issues. No personal or building data is sent to Sentry. See Sentry's Privacy Policy.
  • Resend: email notifications. When you book a Guided Call or On-Site Visit, we use Resend to send internal booking notifications. See Resend's Privacy Policy.

We do not use any advertising networks or social media trackers.

5. Cookies and Local Storage

We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. Our site uses browser localStorage (not cookies) to save your calculation data and preferences. This data remains on your device and is not sent to any third party.

The data stored locally includes:

  • Your building profile and room configurations
  • Calculation results
  • Payment access status
  • Cookie consent preference

You can clear all locally stored data at any time through your browser settings.

6. Data Retention

Since your building data and results are stored in your browser, you control how long they are retained. Data remains until you clear your browser storage or delete it manually. We do not retain your calculation data on our servers after processing.

Payment records are maintained by Paddle in accordance with applicable financial regulations.

7. Your Rights (GDPR)

If you are in the European Economic Area, you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. Because we store your building data locally in your browser (not on our servers), you already have full control over this data and can delete it at any time by clearing your browser storage.
